West Covina Lions Club members strengthen our community by:

Improving Health
- Free sight and hearing testing in Lions Eye Mobile
- Free vision screening in local elementary, middle, and high schools
- Monetary donations to City of Hope, East Valley Community Health Center, and Citrus Valley Health Foundation
- Recycling used eyeglasses for international distribution

Nurturing Youth
- Sponsorship of Leos Club – Lions International high school teen program
- Flag Day – teaching elementary school children the meaning of the American flag and patriotism

Promoting Education and Literacy
- Reading program – one-on-one tutoring of students
- Student scholarships
- Student speaker contests
- Purchase of large print books and audio books for West Covina Library

Assisting Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities
- Delivery of Meals on Wheels
- Sponsoring puppies for Canine Companions for Independence
- Monetary contributions Blind Bowlers League
During the past ten years West Covina Lions Club members have:
- Provided free sight and hearing screenings to approximately 300 local residents using Lions Eye Mobile
- Collected and recycled 80,000 pairs of eyeglasses for international distribution
- Collected and recycled 1500 used hearing aids for re-distribution
- Sponsored Flag Day in West Covina elementary schools, distributing more than 3,500 American flags
- Awarded $50,000 in scholarships to college bound students
- Delivered approximately 5200 meals to homebound citizens through Meals on Wheels program
- Contributed $10,000 to Canine Companions for Independence for raising and training assistance dogs for people with disabilities other than blindness
- Donated $2,000 to local Blind Bowlers League
