Lions empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding.
Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) supports and develops international humanitarian programs that serve people in need. With the dedication and work of Lions, LCIF improves millions of lives through high-impact initiatives.
The West Covina Lions Club is registered as a 501 (c) 3 through our West Covina Lions Foundation.
Our international programs focus on four areas:
Since 1990, SightFirst has been making quality eye care accessible to those who most need it. SightFirst has improved or restored the vision of more than 30 million people.
Over the past 25 years, 12 million young people in 72 countries have participated in Lions Quest, our youth development program for kindergarten through 12th grade.
Providing Disaster Relief
In times of disaster, Lions’ LCIF funds meet immediate needs such as food, water, and shelter. For large-scale disasters, the Foundation helps communities recover and rebuild into the future.
LCIF supports numerous international humanitarian efforts, such as constructing homes for the disabled, providing vision screening of Special Olympics athletes, and combatting measles.
